Wholeblock gives an independent butcher shop a website built around the questions people bring to the counter: which cut to choose, how much to buy and when to collect it. The design combines a bold shopfront wordmark, richly colored surfaces and original food photography with practical cut information, cooking guidance and a complete preorder demonstration.
Across 24 substantive pages, visitors can move from a weeknight dinner or a Sunday roast to a suitable cut, a portion range and a reviewed pickup request. Meat-family pages, freezer planning, sourcing questions and seasonal calendars give the shop room to explain its work before asking someone to place a request.
Help customers plan the meal
The cut finder searches familiar meal terms and filters by meat family and cooking method. Each available cut leads into the preorder with its identity intact, while an unavailable cut points toward an alternative conversation. The portion helper calculates a raw purchase-weight range for 1 to 30 diners and carries the chosen cut and guest count into the request.
The 3-step preorder brings the meal, weight, pickup preference and contact details together before completion. Customers can correct an answer, edit an earlier step and download a plain-text summary. Quarter-pound weights and per-pound prices produce a visible estimate, while the copy keeps final stock, weight, price and pickup subject to staff confirmation.
A visual identity with room to adapt
Large rounded lettering, butcher-paper colors, curved photo frames and circular portion markers give the site a recognizable counter-to-table character. The homepage pairs raw cuts with meal ideas, and interior pages use original photography to show preparation, cooking and collection.
Choose from Plum & Apricot, Juniper & Honey and Cobalt & Peach. Light, Dark and Auto appearance settings carry through the website, including forms, navigation and completed requests. Responsive layouts, keyboard-operable menus, visible focus, labeled fields and reduced-motion styles support everyday browsing on wide and narrow screens.

Make the counter your own
The source separates the shop's identity, hours, cuts, prices, pickup windows and photographs from the shared layout. Update those details, adjust the palette and replace the example copy with your shop's information, then build a consistent set of pages. Readable output sits alongside the compact production CSS and JavaScript.
The included preorder demonstration reaches a complete local result without sending anything. A separate live configuration connects the same reviewed request to your own HTTPS receiver. The buyer guide documents the request and acknowledgment formats, duplicate handling, uncertain replies and staff confirmation work so the frontend can be integrated with your actual ordering process.
